Welcome to my little world 🙂 This blog is for me to open my heart about my job as a foster carer.
I am married, with 4 birth children, and I have been a foster carer for my local authority for a number of years.
I have collected newborns from the maternity ward and sent them off, many months later, with their new adoptive families.
I call my babies, my baby birds (hence the title of my blog) tiny, fragile creatures that I take into my nest to love and nurture untill they are strong enough to fly.
This diary is about my part in the whole complicated process of adoption.
I am no expert on fostering or adoption and all opinions are my own. I just wanted to share what it’s like from this side.
Thank you for reading and I welcome your comments.
